How do some companies deliver success products and services launch after launch?
They focus on good design.
Good design involves innovative design thinking behaviors that will ensure that your products, brand, and services are usable, aesthetic, and human. By combining convergent and divergent thinking, along with sketching, idea presentation, constructive critiquing, prototyping, testing, and iteration processes and methods, you can validate your assumptions and evaluate product-market fit well before you invest in costly development.
What is a Design Sprint?
A design sprint is a time-constrained, four-day process that uses elements of design thinking with intention of validating ideas before bringing a new product, service or a feature to the market. It’s human-centric, solution-focused, and goal-driven.
Features and benefits:
Turn your abstract ideas into concrete solutions
Work collaborative to design a test concept
Create alignment across multidisciplinary teams
Validate and test with your intended users before you build and go to market
Get valuable user feedback and insights to drive iteration
Make decisions fast
Develop a working prototype in just 4 days
The true value of the design sprint are the user insights acquired during the testing phase.
Who needs to be involved?
A multidisciplinary team of no more than 7 people. With the exception of The Decider (project owner/main decision maker) this team only needs to be actively involved the first two days.
What’s the Itinerary?
When all is set and done, this is what you’ll get:
Clear yes/no answers to the questions you started with.
Documentation of the initial research results.
A high-fidelity interactive prototype, tested by real users
User test results/feedback
Recommended next steps
A tremendous sense of accomplishment!
